24Q - Add Salary Details

In this section we concentrate on entering/modifying salary details for each employee. click on ‘Add Salary Details’

Salary Details

The above screen is divided into three sections:

1. The left panel is the area where data has to be entered
2. The right panel displays records as you keep on entering
3. The bottom part has the self labeled action buttons

Enter the salary details on the left panel as per the field/columns. After providing the details of each record click on the ‘Save’ button. The saved entry will be displayed on the right panel. As you keep on making more entries, keep saving each record and list of all the records will get displayed on the right panel.

Modify Salary record
In order to modify a salary record, select the record you need to modify, from the right panel with the help of the mouse. Either double click on this entry or click on the ‘Edit’ button. The selected entry will be displayed on the left panel which can now be modified and saved again

Delete Salary record
In order to delete a salary record, select the record you need to delete, from the right panel with the help of the mouse. After selecting the record click on ‘Delete’ button, then after seeking your reconfirmation the record will be deleted.

Save Salary Details

The saved entry is shown in above image.

24Q - Salary Details - Add Salary Using Excel

Salary details (annual tax computation of the employee) can be prepared in Excel sheets and then imported into the system. This would save effort in entering data through formats of the software interface.

Importing data from Excel can be done in 3 steps:

1 Download the pre-defined blank Excel format in the desired location
2 Prepare the required data in this Excel sheet
3 Upload this data from the Excel sheet into the system

Click on ‘Add salary using excel’

Download Excel Format

Import Type: The salary details can be imported in 2 ways:

New/Replace existing data: In order to overwrite the existing salary details with the imported salary detail, select this (Warning: All the existing data in the selected Return will get removed and replaced with data in the Excel. The original data cannot be restored back).

Add to the existing data : In order to add the additional salary detail, select this.
Enter Deductee without Challan: In order to enter the deductees which are not attached to any challan, check this box.

Select New/Replace Existing Data Click on ’ Download Excel Format’

In order to import the data from Excel, first download the pre-defined Blank Excel format in the desired location, as displayed below:

Prepare the complete salary data in the Excel sheet and save it in the desired location.

Click on ‘Import Data from Excel’

Upload & Validate

Click on ‘Upload and Validate’

Once the data is validated and if the data provided is correct, the system displays the following screen:

Start Import

Click on ‘Start Import’

Salary Details - Excel Import Successfull

Data Imported Successfully.
